Es-con Japan Ltd. said its first-quarter normalized net income came to ¥5.73 per share, a gain from 75 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥395.6 million, an increase from ¥52.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 6.6% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥6.00 billion from ¥2.13 billion, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥5.14 billion from ¥1.88 billion.
Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to ¥568.0 million, or ¥8.22 per share, from ¥101.9 million, or ¥1.45 per share.
