Deutsche Rückversicherung names new CEO

German insurer Deutsche Rückversicherung AG appointed Frank Schaar as its new CEO, effective immediately, to replace Arno Junke who left the company at 2017-end after reaching an amicable separation agreement.

Schaar, who served as chief underwriting officer and deputy CEO from March 2010, also took the helm of the Association of German Public Insurers, according to a Feb. 23 release.
