Taranis Resources Inc. said May 31 that development at the Thor silver project in British Columbia is facing permitting delays.
The company said it encountered significant delays in clearing the final stage to secure notice of work permits from the Ministry of Energy and Mines, which involves a two-month permitting consultation.
Although the application is anticipated to be granted in the latter half of July, the timeline remains unknown.
Taranis is also seeking assurance from government agencies that continued exploration activities at Thor will not be jeopardized through the interpretation and management of regulations defined under the Ungulate Winter Range.
The company is prioritizing development toward the completion of a gold pilot plant and decision to conduct a major drilling program at the project.
