Trafco Group Q2 profit climbs 69.2% YOY

Trafco Group B.S.C. said its second-quarter normalized net income was 279,350 dinars, an increase of 69.2% from 165,130 dinars in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 2.5% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 5.6% on an annual basis to 11.0 million dinars from 10.5 million dinars, and total operating expenses climbed from the prior-year period to 10.4 million dinars from 10.1 million dinars.

Reported net income increased 90.5% from the prior-year period to 492,930 dinars, or 6 fils per share, from 258,810 dinars, or 3 fils per share.

As of Aug. 7, US$1 was equivalent to 380 Bahraini fils.
