Emmi H1 profit climbs 29.8% YOY

Emmi AG said its normalized net income for the first half was CHF8.25 per share, an increase of 29.8% from CHF6.36 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF44.2 million, a gain of 29.8% from CHF34.0 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to CHF1.59 billion from CHF1.56 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to CHF1.50 billion from CHF1.48 billion.

Reported net income increased 31.6% on an annual basis to CHF60.8 million, or CHF11.36 per share, from CHF46.2 million, or CHF8.63 per share.
