Insured losses from severe storms in Georgia reach $30M

Insured losses from violent weather that struck Georgia on Jan. 2 are estimated to reach $30 million, Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens said.

More than 4,000 insurance claims have since been filed and estimated insured losses are expected to rise further as new claims are filed, Hudgens said.
