Providence, R.I.-based Citizens Financial Group Inc. is planning to launch Citizens Access early in the third quarter.

Citizens Access is a direct-to-consumer digital platform that will offer Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.-insured deposit products. It will also provide digital deposit offering at a lower cost.

The platform will be available to customers throughout the U.S.
