Magellan Gold Corp. said March 5 that it rehired employees in order to resume operations at the San Dieguito de Arriba, or SDA, mill in Mexico.
The operations will initially reprocess tailings at the mill site to recover gold and silver.
"The reprocessing operation will offset holding costs and allow the mill to remain in a fully operational status," said CEO Pierce Carson.
"We are close to being able to announce the acquisition of an attractive property that will allow us to resume mining operations, build production and increase cash flow," Carson added.
The company acquired the SDA mill in late 2017.
