Toyota teams up with Kenworth for hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks

Toyota Motor North America Inc. teamed up with PACCAR Inc.'s Kenworth Truck Co. to make zero-emission trucks.

The companies will develop 10 zero-emission Kenworth T680 trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cell electric powertrains made by the Toyota Motor Corp.'s unit., according to a Jan. 8 release.

The partnership is part of a $41 million Zero and Near-Zero Emissions Freight Facilities grant by the California Air Resources Board.
