S & J International Enterprises Q1 profit falls YOY

S & J International Enterprises PCLsaid its normalized net income for the first quarter came to 4 satang per share, a decline of 75.6% from 15 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.5 million baht, a decline of 75.6% from 22.5 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.0% from 1.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 11.0% on an annual basis to 1.04 billion baht from 1.17 billion baht, and total operating expenses declined 8.4% on an annual basis to 1.06 billion baht from 1.16 billion baht.

Reported net income increased 35.4% year over year to 45.2 million baht, or 30 satang per share, from 33.4 million baht, or 22 satang per share.

As of May 16, US$1 was equivalent to 35.39 baht.
