Power
* UGI Corp. on Sept. 5 named William Marrazzo and K. Richard Turner board directors of the parent company and its subsidiary UGI Utilities Inc. Marrazzo and Turner served as directors of Amerigas Propane Inc., the general partner of AmeriGas Partners LP, until the closing of UGI's acquisition of the partnership. Meanwhile, board Chairman Marvin Schlanger announced his intention to retire from the board at the annual meeting of shareholders in January 2021. Frank Hermance was nominated to succeed Schlanger as board chairman after the 2020 annual meeting of shareholders. To facilitate the transition, Schlanger was nominated to serve as vice chairman of the board after the meeting until his retirement.
* Engie Services North America appointed Lane Brennan CEO of Engie Services Canada, effective Aug. 13, according to a Sept. 5 news release. The companies are subsidiaries of Engie SA.
* NRG Energy Inc. named Travis Kavulla vice president for regulatory affairs, according to a Sept. 5 news release.
* Jeffrey Newman, who holds several senior executive positions at MGE Energy Inc. and its utility subsidiary Madison Gas and Electric Co., plans to retire by the end of 2020. Newman is executive vice president, CFO, treasurer and secretary for both companies. According to a Sept. 4 filing with the SEC, the companies intend to transition his CFO duties during the third quarter of 2020.
* Exelon Corp. expanded the size of its board to 14 directors with the election of John Richardson as a director, effective Sept. 3. Richardson, who is a retired admiral of the U.S. Navy, will serve until the company's 2020 annual meeting of shareholders. Richardson will also serve on the board's finance and risk, and generation oversight committees.
* ITC Holdings Corp. appointed Dusky Terry vice president of the company and as president of ITC Midwest LLC. Terry succeeds Krista Tanner, who was promoted to senior vice president and chief business unit officer for ITC Holdings in February, according to a Sept. 3 news release. Terry most recently served as vice president of planning and growth strategies at Central Iowa Power Cooperative.
* German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon GmbH on Aug. 30 said it is restructuring its management in light of the company's increased focus on global markets. The company has installed a four-member management team to support Managing Director Hans-Dieter Kettwig at the level of Enercon's holding company, UEE Holding GmbH. The new management team, led by Kettwig, comprises Jost Backhaus, Jörg Scholle, Thomas Cobet and Momme Janssen.
* Jayme Brooks will resign as executive vice president, CFO and principal financial officer of Capstone Turbine Corp. on Sept. 30 to pursue other business opportunities. The company named Frederick Hencken III, currently chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer, as interim CFO, according to a Form 8-K filed Aug. 30.
* Oncor Electric Delivery Holdings Co. LLC removed Tania Ortiz from the Oncor Electric Delivery Co. LLC board on Aug. 26. Ortiz will be replaced by George Bilicic, the group president of Sempra Energy, according to a Form 8-K filed Aug. 30. The replacement was done under a written direction by Sempra Texas Intermediate Holding Co. LLC, the sole member of Oncor Electric Delivery Holdings, which owns 80.25% of Oncor's outstanding equity interests.
Oil and gas utility/midstream
* Nick Cristiano, CFO and corporate secretary of Hyduke Energy Services Inc., stepped down from the company, effective Aug. 30, according to a Sept. 5 news release.
* Independent oil and gas company Extraction Oil & Gas Inc. announced the resignation of its CFO Russell Kelley Jr., effective Sept. 15, to pursue other interests. The company's board named Tom Brock principal financial officer while also continuing as vice president and chief accounting officer, according to a Sept. 4 press release. In addition, Extraction appointed Marianella Foschi vice president of finance, effective Sept. 15. Foschi was the director of finance since 2015.
* Dallas-based oil and gas producer Matador Resources Co. appointed Monika Ehrman as a new board member, according to a Sept. 4 news release from the company.
* Tidewater Inc. President, CEO and director John Rynd will step down from all positions, effective immediately. Quintin Kneen, currently executive vice president and CFO, will succeed Rynd as president, CEO and a director, according to a Sept. 4 SEC filing. Kneen will continue to serve in his current roles until a successor is named.
* Enterprise Products Partners LP made changes to its management team, including the appointment of Graham Bacon as executive vice president and COO. Bacon, who has been with the company for 28 years, oversees the company's environmental, health and safety programs, according to a Sept. 3 news release. Enterprise also promoted Brent Secrest to executive vice president and chief commercial officer, from senior vice president of commercial. Robert Moss was named senior vice president of the company's Houston region operations, Michael Hanley as senior vice president of pipelines and terminals, Kevin Ramsey as senior vice president of capital projects and Natalie Gayden as senior vice president of natural gas. Other recent appointments include Carrie Weaver, who was promoted to vice president of Eastern region pipelines; and Yvette Longonje, who was promoted to vice president of distribution services. All changes will take effect immediately.
* CNOOC Ltd. announced that CEO and executive director Yuan Guangyu has retired, effective Sept. 2. Xu Keqiang, currently president of the company, will handle the duties and responsibilities of the CEO until a successor is appointed. In addition, CNOOC announced that board Chairman Yang Hua has resigned, effective Sept. 2, due to a change in appointment. Hua is also the chairman of the nomination committee. Vice Chairman Wang Dongjin will handle the duties and responsibilities of the chairman of the board and chairman of the nomination committee until a replacement is appointed.
* Total SA named Jean-Pierre Sbraire CFO and Helle Kristoffersen president of strategy and innovation, according to a Sept. 2 news release from the French oil major. On Aug. 1, Sbraire, who was also appointed as a member of the executive committee, replaced Patrick de La Chevardière following his retirement. Kristoffersen joined the executive committee Aug. 19 and replaced Philippe Sauquet, who is now president of gas renewables and power.
* State-owned oil giant Saudi Arabian Oil Co., also known as Saudi Aramco, named the governor of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia Yasir Al-Rumayyan chairman, replacing Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih, Bloomberg News reported Sept. 2, citing a Saudi source.
* PJSC Lukoil named Sergey Nikiforov vice president for Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa. Nikiforov previously was vice president for joint projects, according to a Sept. 2 news release. Ivan Romanovsky will continue to serve as vice president for the Americas, West Africa and Europe.
