Cohiba Minerals Ltd. said June 6 that it is about to start drilling at the Wee MacGregor copper-gold-cobalt project in Queensland, Australia, for which it has an option to farm into 80%.
The group is planning 21 shallow reverse circulation holes to test the obvious surface mineralization directly south of the Great Central main body and eight deeper holes in the main Wee MacGregor deposit.
Cohiba said there has so far been no definition or resources estimation for mineralization at Grand Central, so anything discovered below surface will be new. It hopes that the work will allow it to establish what resource potential exists at the historical Wee MacGregor deposit.
Drilling is expected to begin in the next two weeks and take two to three weeks to complete.
