Pantoro Ltd. received final approvals to start underground works at Wagtail, part of its Halls Creek gold project in Western Australia.
The company said May 28 it has started ground support works, which will be immediately followed up with underground development. The initial development will be focused on the Wagtail North decline, while high grade ore is developed via adits in Wagtail South.
The decline development at Wagtail South will start after the first ore level is accessed at Wagtail North.
In the week of May 24, Pantoro defined initial underground reserves for the Wagtail and Rowdies deposits that comprise probable reserves of 356,000 tonnes grading 5.4 g/t gold for 62,000 ounces.
