Kyoto Kimono Yuzen fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Kyoto Kimono Yuzen Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥4.71 per share, a decrease of 63.3% from ¥12.85 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥56.3 million, a decrease of 70.1% from ¥188.1 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.7% from 4.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 13.3% year over year to ¥3.39 billion from ¥3.91 billion, and total operating expenses declined 8.4% from the prior-year period to ¥3.33 billion from ¥3.63 billion.

Reported net income declined 68.8% year over year to ¥55.0 million, or ¥4.61 per share, from ¥176.0 million, or ¥12.02 per share.
