Central Bank of India gets nonexecutive chairman

The Indian government appointed Tapan Ray part-time nonofficial director and nonexecutive chairman on Central Bank of India's board.

Ray was appointed for a three-year term, effective May 23, the bank said May 24.

Meanwhile, the Indian government redesignated Chairman and Managing Director Rajeev Rishi to CEO and managing director, effective May 23. Rishi's tenure is set to end July 31.
