Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Q4 profit falls YOY

PT Mitra Pinasthika Mustika Tbk said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 42.98 rupiah per share, a decline of 5.0% from 45.24 rupiah per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 186.57 billion rupiah, a decrease of 5.3% from 197.11 billion rupiah in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 0.2% from 4.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 9.5% year over year to 4.451 trillion rupiah from 4.065 trillion rupiah, and total operating expenses grew 8.2% on an annual basis to 4.010 trillion rupiah from 3.705 trillion rupiah.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 51.48 billion rupiah, or a loss of 11.86 rupiah per share, compared to income of 88.43 billion rupiah, or 20.29 rupiah per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 105.34 rupiah per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 118.46 rupiah.

EPS declined 14.8% from 123.68 rupiah in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 458.52 billion rupiah, a decline of 14.9% from 538.91 billion rupiah in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew year over year to 16.640 trillion rupiah from 16.076 trillion rupiah, and total operating expenses rose year over year to 15.668 trillion rupiah from 14.987 trillion rupiah.

The company said reported net income decreased 41.5% year over year to 284.95 billion rupiah, or 65.46 rupiah per share, in the full year, from 487.19 billion rupiah, or 111.81 rupiah per share.

As of March 24, US$1 was equivalent to 13,295 rupiah.
