Central Bank of Ireland appoints supervisor for banks, credit unions

The Central Bank of Ireland has appointed Mary-Elizabeth McMunn director of credit institutions supervision.

Currently head of supervisory risk at the central bank, McMunn will be responsible for banking supervision and the registry of credit unions in her new role, the central bank said.

She will lead a team of more than 150 staff and will be part of the regulator's senior leadership team.
