China's Bank of Tianjin uncovers 786M yuan risk incident

China's Bank ofTianjin Co. Ltd. on April 8 said it uncovered fraud that potentiallyexposed 786 million Chinese yuan to risks.

The incident is related to its notes business held under a resaleagreement. The bank said it is cooperating with public authorities to investigatethe matter.

As of April 12, US$1 wasequivalent to 6.47 Chinese yuan.
