Generali may acquire more asset managers after Sycomore deal, CEO says

Italy-based insurer Generali may acquire more boutique asset managers after entering exclusive talks for a majority stake in French ESG-focused asset manager Sycomore Asset Management, Reuters reported Sept. 7, citing group CEO Philippe Donnet.

Donnet reportedly said the company does not rule out acquiring more small- and medium-sized asset managers like Sycomore "to invest in highly-specialized, high valued-added, alternative asset classes."
