Pental fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

Pental Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 28, 2014, was 1 Australian cents per share, a decrease of 21.4% from 2 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$1.8 million, a decline of 7.5% from A$1.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to A$40.2 million, compared with A$40.0 million in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses increased year over year to A$37.3 million from A$36.1 million.

Reported net income decreased 17.4% year over year to A$1.8 million, or 1 cents per share, from A$2.1 million, or 2 cents per share.
