Investment banker Scott Littlejohn has joined BNP Paribas SA's advisory for the Americas group to head its financial institutions M&A effort, S&P Global Market Intelligence has learned.
A spokesman for BNP confirmed the hire. The aim of financial institutions team is to cover different sectors in the industry, but Littlejohn has historically focused on the insurance space.
Littlejohn was most recently head of insurance investment banking at BMO Capital Markets Corp., which he joined in 2011. Earlier in his career, he led the corporate and investment banking insurance practice at Banc of America Securities LLC.
