Whitman Peterson's 3rd opportunistic real estate fund raises $402M

Private equity real estate firm Whitman Peterson raised $402 million in the final close of its latest opportunistic fund, PERE News reported.

The Whitman/Peterson Partners III fund, which had a $300 million target, will invest in asset-level transactions mainly through strategic and programmatic partnerships with operating companies.

The firm primarily invests in multifamily, seniors housing and hospitality across the U.S., but plans to invest in other property types. It has also made investments in Latin America and the U.K., according to the report.
