Jeffrey Powell, executive vice president and CFO of Spirit of Texas Bancshares Inc. and unit Spirit of Texas Bank SSB, died Jan. 13. The company's board named Allison Johnson interim CFO.

Jan. 10

Bank of Wisconsin Dells appointed Scott Rockwell president. He replaces Jon Bernander, who will continue as CEO of the Wisconsin Dells, Wis.-based bank.

Washington-based Founders Bank appointed Karen Grau CFO. Grau was previously the director of financial reporting at Rockville, Md.-based Capital Bank NA.

Fremont, Neb.-based First State Bank & Trust Co. named President and CEO Chuck Johannsen chairman at its annual meeting, the Fremont Tribune reported.
