Panasonic unveils vehicle data platform for road safety

Panasonic Corp. unveiled its connected vehicle data platform Cirrus by Panasonic V2X solution at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019.

The technology known as vehicle to everything, or V2X, pertains to the passing of information from a vehicle to any entity that may affect the vehicle, and vice versa.

The open-source platform Cirrus by Panasonic provides cloud analytics data processing, real-time analysis and transmission, as well as data storage capabilities for sharing and updating vehicles and municipalities with road conditions, operations and other safety information, according to a Jan. 7 news release.

The technology is designed to improve safety and mobility on the road.
