Nielsen Holdings PLC struck a new national and local TV ratings measurement deal with Univision Communications Inc.
Under the multiyear pact, all Univision networks, including 36 local TV stations, will continue getting access to Nielsen's suite of measurement and analytics services, according to a March 21 statement.
The U.S. Hispanic broadcaster will also subscribe to Nielsen's measurement tools for out-of-home viewing, local media and subscription video-on-demand content.
Nielsen recently cited challenges in collecting representative audience measurement data with the proliferation of more connected video devices. It has expanded its offerings and teamed up with set-top box providers and social media companies to improve its audience data.
