Watt's S.A. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 16.33 Chilean pesos per share, an increase of 35.5% from 12.05 pesos per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 5.15 billion pesos, an increase of 35.5% from 3.80 billion pesos in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.1% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 16.5% year over year to 101.64 billion pesos from 87.25 billion pesos, and total operating expenses increased 14.0% year over year to 90.53 billion pesos from 79.42 billion pesos.
Reported net income increased 30.1% from the prior-year period to 6.67 billion pesos, or 21.17 pesos per share, from 5.13 billion pesos, or 16.27 pesos per share.
As of Nov. 19, US$1 was equivalent to 711.10 Chilean pesos.
