Slovenian competition watchdog clears Abanka sale to Nova KBM

The Slovenian Competition Protection Agency approved the sale of a 100% stake in Abanka d.d. to Nova Kreditna banka Maribor d.d., the latter said Dec. 5.

Nova KBM signed an agreement in June to purchase Abanka from Slovenian Sovereign Holding d.d. for total consideration of €511 million. The deal needs other regulatory approvals before it is finalized, Nova KBM said.
