First NZ Capital Securities to buy derivatives brokerage

First NZ Capital Securities Ltd. is acquiring derivatives brokerage OM Financial Ltd. for an undisclosed sum, BusinessDesk reported Dec. 24.

OMF advises and facilitates trading in financial products available in the foreign exchange, carbon, options, equities, contract for difference and futures markets.

First NZ Capital Securities is not buying OM Financial's interbank broking business, which will be separated from the rest of the business prior to the acquisition. OM Financial will continue to use its brand and current base of business operations in Auckland.

First NZ Capital Securities is a unit of First NZ Capital Group Ltd.
