Nestlé SA launched its new chocolate, Milkybar Wowsomes, made with organic products, bringing sugar levels down by 30% compared to other chocolate bars, according to a March 27 release.
The Swiss food and beverage giant made the bars without using any sweeteners, which dissolve quickly in the mouth and give the same flavor as regular sugar.
The move came as a part of retailer's strategy of cutting down sugar, which was started in 2000. Nestlé vowed to bring the sugar levels down by 10% between 2014 and 2016. The company plans to further reduce sugar in its products by 5% till 2020.
Milkybar Wowsomes will be available in the U.K. and Ireland in coming weeks, the company said.
