Nielsen buys games market intelligence provider SuperData Research

Nielsen Holdings PLC completed its acquisition of SuperData Research Holdings Inc.

SuperData Research provides market intelligence on digital games, gaming video content, virtual reality and augmented reality across mobile, PC online, console and other digital platforms.

The company analyzes the spending of more than 160 million paying digital gamers worldwide. As part of the transaction, SuperData will now be referred to as "SuperData, a Nielsen company."

The company did not disclose financial details of the deal.
