Occidental Petroleum grosses $1.19 billion from debt offering

Occidental Petroleum Corp. raised gross proceeds of $1.19 billion from an offering of 4.400% senior unsecured notes due April 15, 2046.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital and redemption or repayment of debt securities.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc., Mizuho Securities USA LLC, MUFG Securities Americas Inc., SG Americas Securities LLC, SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc., U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC were the lead underwriters.

Barclays Capital Inc., BBVA Securities Inc., BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Lebenthal & Co. LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, PNC Capital Markets LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. and Standard Chartered Bank New York also served as underwriters for the offering.
