Siemens Gamesa to supply 90 MW of wind turbines to Enel Russia

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy entered into a contract with Enel Russia to supply 90 MW of wind turbines at the Azovskaya wind project in southern Russia.

Under the agreement, Siemens Gamesa will deliver, install and service 26 wind turbines, which is expected to come online in 2020, according to an Oct. 5 release.

The order is part of a 291-MW wind contract Enel SpA secured in Russia's June 2017 wind auction.

"This first contract comes in parallel with our ongoing activities for localization of nacelle assembly and local component sourcing," Steven Pryor, Siemens Gamesa's CEO of North Europe and Middle East Onshore, said.
