Lendlease Corp. Ltd. was appointed to be the main contractor to develop Google Inc.'s new headquarters at King's Cross, London, Construction Enquirer reported.

Total cost of development for the seven- to 11-story building is estimated at about £350 million, and plans were already delivered to the Camden Council for approval.

The building, designed by Heatherwick Studios and BIG, in partnership with BDP, is intended to house 4,000 employees. Amenities in the building will include a gym, pool, multi-use games area, events center and a landscaped roof garden, the June 1 report noted.
