Pan-American Life Insurance Group's US life president retiring

Pan-American Life Insurance Group Inc. said that Stephen Batza is retiring as president of its U.S. life business, and as president and CEO of Mutual Trust Life Insurance Co.

He will remain on the board of directors of Pan-American Life. Batza had been president of U.S. life since a 2015 merger; he became president and CEO of Mutual Trust in 2007.

Pan-American Life also appointed Bruce Parker, president of international life, as president of the newly consolidated global life business unit and as CEO of Mutual Trust.

He most recently led all of Pan-American Life's individual life and personal accident insurance business in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Additionally, Geri Gaughan was promoted to president and COO of Mutual Trust, where she was previously senior vice president and general counsel.
