PTT PCL on Nov. 12 reported third-quarter net income of 30.33 billion Thai baht, up 35.8% from the 22.33 billion baht noted during the same quarter in 2017.
The Thai integrated oil and gas company's third-quarter sales revenue amounted to 606.98 billion baht, up 27.7% from the 475.18 billion baht reported for the third quarter of 2017.
Operating income was pegged at 64.08 billion baht, up 11.3% from the 57.60 billion baht reported for the third quarter of last year.
The petrochemical and refining, exploration and production and gas segments made up the bulk of the company's operating income. The exploration and production segment saw operating income increase by 34.2% on the year to reach 16.67 billion baht for the quarter while the gas segment reported operating income rising by 35.4% to 20.28 billion baht for the period. On the other hand, the petrochemical and refining segment posted a year-on-year decrease of 7.5% and reported a third-quarter operating income of 22.58 billion baht.
As of Nov.12, US$1 was equivalent to 33.16 Thai baht.
