Bio Planet Q3 profit climbs 67.7% YOY

Bio Planet SA said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 6 groszy per share, an increase of 80.7% from 4 groszy per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 178,310 zlotys, an increase of 67.7% from 106,310 zlotys in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 0.7% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 31.7% year over year to 26.5 million zlotys from 20.1 million zlotys, and total operating expenses climbed 32.8% from the prior-year period to 26.3 million zlotys from 19.8 million zlotys.

Reported net income increased 67.1% from the prior-year period to 250,600 zlotys, or 9 groszy per share, from 150,000 zlotys, or 5 groszy per share.

As of Nov. 3, US$1 was equivalent to 3.90 zlotys.
