US Bank alum joins Gilroy, Calif.-based Pinnacle Bank; Arvest Bank hires SVP

Fayetteville, Ark.-based Arvest Bank named Julie Simmons senior vice president and regional sales manager for its treasury management division.

She has more than 23 years of industry experience, the bank said.

The bank is a unit of Arvest Holdings Inc., which, in turn, is a unit of Arvest Bank Group Inc.

Bank of the Sierra named Larry Velasquez market president for Bakersfield, Calif.

Velasquez most recently was regional vice president of branch channel delivery at Sacramento, Calif.-based Golden 1 CU.

The Porterville, Calif.-based bank is a unit of Sierra Bancorp.

Daniel Brandt joined Chicago-based First Midwest Bank to lead the commercial real estate team of its new commercial banking office in Milwaukee.

Brandt was previously a senior vice president and relationship manager in the commercial real estate division at Evansville, Ind.-based Old National Bank, a unit of Old National Bancorp.

Brandt is joined by another Old National alum, Regina Levchets, vice president, who also joined the Milwaukee team.

First Midwest Bank is a subsidiary of First Midwest Bancorp Inc.

Seattle-based First Sound Bank named Dave Huguenin senior vice president and business development officer.

Huguenin most recently was senior consultant of commercial lending at Bank of Washington.

Peggy Newman retired from the board of Laredo, Texas-based International Bancshares Corp. Her term expired May 20.

Newman is a real estate investor and has been president of Newman Poultry Co. since 1996, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence records.

Gilroy, Calif.-based Pinnacle Bank appointed Charles Dampier II senior vice president and senior relationship manager.

Dampier previously was vice president and business banking sales manager at US Bank NA, a unit of U.S. Bancorp.

Financial services

David Stewart will retire as senior vice president, controller and principal accounting officer of Ameriprise Financial Inc. as of May 31.

John Hutt will be appointed the company's senior vice president of corporate finance, controller and principal accounting officer June 3.
