KNT-CT Holdings Q2 profit climbs 81.5% YOY

KNT-CT Holdings Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income came to ¥65.55 per share, an increase of 80.9% from ¥36.23 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.77 billion, a gain of 81.5% from ¥977.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.7% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥106.94 billion from ¥108.52 billion, and total operating expenses fell year over year to ¥104.34 billion from ¥107.02 billion.

Reported net income increased on an annual basis to ¥1.59 billion, or ¥58.78 per share, from ¥717.0 million, or ¥26.57 per share.

As of Aug. 7, US$1 was equivalent to ¥124.28.
