LPL Financial closes National Planning Holdings deal

LPL Financial Holdings Inc. has closed its acquisition of National Planning Holdings Inc.

More than a dozen firms in the National Planning network joined LPL's network. Each business managed at least $500 million in client brokerage and advisory assets, according to LPL.

The companies that joined with more than $1 billion in assets under management included Advisors Southeastern Alliance, Central Trust Bank, Community Investment Services Inc., Johnson Bank and Life Brokerage Financial Group.

The companies managing between $500 million and $999 million included Bethpage FCU, Christopher Edwards Financial Associates, Fross & Fross Wealth Management, Logix FCU, Members 1st FCU, Oak Partners, Parsons Financial Associates, R Group Financial Marketing Inc. and United Community Banks Inc.
