EBay closes $2.5B debt offering

EBay Inc. on June 6 closed the sale of $2.5 billion of notes.

The offering consisted of $400 million in floating-rate notes due 2023, $500 million in 2.150% notes due 2020, $750 million in 2.750% notes due 2023 and $850 million in 3.600% notes due 2027.

The company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repayment of debt, capital expenditures, share repurchases and possible acquisitions.
