Lucas Bols fiscal H1 profit climbs 18.8% YOY

Lucas Bols NV said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30, 2014, amounted to 55 euro cents per share, a gain of 20.6% from 46 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €2.5 million, an increase of 18.8% from €2.1 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to €40.8 million, compared with €41.2 million in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses came to €27.9 million, compared with €28.1 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income increased 20.3% on an annual basis to €2.0 million, or 44 cents per share, from €1.6 million, or 36 cents per share.
