Chimney Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter was ¥39.15 per share, a gain of 13.9% from ¥34.38 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥753.8 million, an increase of 13.1% from ¥666.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.8% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased year over year to ¥13.05 billion from ¥12.44 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥11.86 billion from ¥11.39 billion.
Reported net income increased 7.5% on an annual basis to ¥606.9 million, or ¥31.52 per share, from ¥564.4 million, or ¥29.12 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥119.64 per share, a gain of 6.3% from ¥112.51 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥2.31 billion, a rise of 6.3% from ¥2.18 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue grew year over year to ¥47.79 billion from ¥46.56 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥44.16 billion from ¥43.13 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 9.6% on an annual basis to ¥1.97 billion, or ¥101.82 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.80 billion, or ¥92.87 per share.
