Sanyodo Holdings fiscal Q3 profit climbs 32.4% YOY

Sanyodo Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥23.98 per share, a gain of 31.3% from ¥18.27 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥140.6 million, a gain of 32.4% from ¥106.3 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.2% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to ¥6.35 billion from ¥6.54 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥6.12 billion from ¥6.37 billion.

Reported net income grew 41.3% from the prior-year period to ¥140.1 million, or ¥23.88 per share, from ¥99.1 million, or ¥17.04 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
