Heritage Financial declares special dividend

Heritage Financial Corp.'s board declared a special cash dividend of 10 cents per common share, along with a quarterly cash dividend of 19 cents per share.

The quarterly cash dividend remains unchanged from the previous issuance. The Olympia, Wash.-based bank will pay the dividends on Nov. 21 to shareholders of record as of the close of business Nov. 7.

Heritage Financial reported third-quarter net income of $17.9 million, or 48 cents per share, up from $15.5 million, or 42 cents per share, in the year-ago period.
