Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings Inc. made changes to its management team and that of its subsidiary Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Ltd.
The company said Feb. 27 that it appointed Hitoshi Sato as managing executive officer. Sato is currently managing executive officer of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.
Kuniyuki Shudo, Kenji Kaiya and Keiichi Hamano were appointed managing executive officers of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, effective April 1. Shudo is currently general manager of the bank's New York branch and regional executive for the Americas. Kaiya is general manager of the global financial institutions department and wholesale business planning department. Hamano is general manager of the bank's corporate business department.
Among others, Masahiro Tsuchiya and Kouji Tanaka were appointed as directors of the bank. Tsuchiya is currently senior managing executive officer, while Tanaka is managing executive officer.
The new appointments take effect from April 1.
