Anap Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 came to a loss of ¥31.24 per share, compared with a loss of ¥39.74 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥133.1 million, compared with a loss of ¥168.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 6.5% from negative 7.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined 12.1% on an annual basis to ¥2.06 billion from ¥2.34 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 12.8% year over year to ¥2.27 billion from ¥2.60 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥468.0 million, or a loss of ¥109.84 per share, compared to a loss of ¥189.0 million, or a loss of ¥44.67 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of April 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥119.09.
