BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to 33 kurus per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 39 kurus per share.
EPS climbed 15.1% year over year from 28 kurus.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 98.8 million lira, a gain of 15.1% from 85.9 million lira in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 2.4% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 20.6% on an annual basis to 4.09 billion lira from 3.40 billion lira, and total operating expenses grew 20.8% year over year to 3.94 billion lira from 3.26 billion lira.
Reported net income grew 14.6% on an annual basis to 123.5 million lira, or 41 kurus per share, from 107.8 million lira, or 35 kurus per share.
As of May 8, US$1 was equivalent to 2.69 Turkish lira.
