Carpetright PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Oct. 25 amounted to 6 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 5 pence per share.
EPS increased year over year from 3 pence.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £4.2 million, a gain from £1.9 million in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to £227.9 million from £222.2 million, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to £220.6 million from £218.2 million.
Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to £5.2 million, or 8 pence per share, from £1.9 million, or 3 pence per share.
