Peru central bank cuts dollar deposit reserve requirement anew

Banco Central de Reserva del Perú announced another cut to its reserve requirement for U.S. dollar deposits, saying it will be reduced to 37% from 38% beginning in March, Reuters reported.

The central bank has steadily lowered reserve requirements since 2016 in an effort to encourage local lending. It cut the requirement to 38% from 39% early in 2018.
