AmTRAN Technology Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to NT$1.22 per share, a gain from 16 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$1.12 billion, an increase from NT$137.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 15.6% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 46.6% on an annual basis to NT$7.18 billion from NT$4.90 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 56.7% from the prior-year period to NT$7.67 billion from NT$4.89 billion.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to NT$1.05 billion, or NT$1.15 per share, from NT$189.5 million, or 22 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$2.17 per share, an increase from 73 cents per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was NT$1.86 billion, a gain from NT$612.6 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 15.9% from the prior-year period to NT$20.67 billion from NT$17.84 billion, and total operating expenses grew 21.6% year over year to NT$21.61 billion from NT$17.78 billion.
The company said reported net income rose on an annual basis to NT$1.75 billion, or NT$2.05 per share, in the full year, from NT$835.5 million, or 100 cents per share.
